We are back from our first road trip (with the kids) to Orange County. Total success. The kids did awesome in the car--Caleb decided he wanted to kick it with Ryan and I for the first two hours of our drive south--a drive we didn't start until 8pm. So, we was chit-chatting away until close to 10:30. Lilly was out as soon as the car started. With the exception of Lilly's overdose of Pirate's Booty (minor barfing episode), we made it home in one piece. I'd totally do it again. It was so nice to have my car and to be on our own schedule.
As always, we had a fabulous time with Ryan's family. Lilly is obsessed with her cousins. Period. It makes me wish we lived closer every time I see her with them. We (moms) took the kids to the beach/harbor one day and it was so easy! Well, relatively easy. Easy enough that we (moms) enjoyed ourselves!
Dylan turned four! We had a BBQ! We had a musical parade around the pool!
So. Much. Fun.

it was so, SO fun. it wouldn't have been even remotely close to the same without you 4. Thanks so much for making the trek down. I'm glad the road trip worked out! So much easier with a car. I get it!
