P to the R to the O to the jects...

I've got some big projects in the works over here.

Big ones.

I found the dresser at the Discovery Shop (Cancer Society thrift store) next to our fancy baby/kid store. I couldn't pass it up. I'm planning on painting it a very pale gray. I haven't decided if I want to change the hardware, I really sorta like the original stuff. Pondering.

I also found a small, 60's puke yellow, upholstered club chair. It was $17. I'm planning on using it in my...wait for it...UPHOLSTERY LESSON/CLASS! I'm so excited to take this project on. I've always wanted to reupholster something. I'm hoping I can fit the lesson into the September budget. And then I'm hoping I can become a master upholsterer one day. It could happen.

And Paint. I'm still in the very beginning stages of this process (only three colors on the wall so far, but more coming soon). I think I'm leaning more gray with green undertones now. I think the gray-blue will be too blue in my small space. This is a work in progress, but I'm enjoying the process actually and don't feel the need to decide right away.

We are still deciding what to do about our floors. I don't know. Technically, we can't really afford to do anything right now. But, I die a little bit inside every time I walk in the door and see my gross carpet. Something must be done soon...I just don't know what.

woohoo, I love projects. And I am super envious if you take a re-upholstering class. I dream of it.

Learning to reupholster has always been a dream of mine. I hope it happens for you! How fun.

And that dresser is GORGEOUS! What a find.

I thought I commented on this? And several others...I cannot wait to see what you do with this dresser. And the re upholstery. But, first I want to see the dresser. So so exciting.
