Whoa...chores.
I hate cleaning house.
Wait.
I don't say it like that, so I'm not sure why I wrote it like that. What I meant to say was that I hate cleaning the house. The definite article is very important here.
Wait.
What I really mean to say is that I hate cleaning. I've said it before and I'll say it again--I hate it.
I'm bad at it. I really am. I'm inefficient. I'm impatient. I'm lazy? Maybe.
Most of all, and the real reason I hate cleaning: I can think of about a million things I'd rather be doing with the hour it takes to clean the bathrooms.
And yet. (shout out to leopold gursky)
I do it anyway though because it falls under the category of "stay at home mom." It's the least I can do while my hard-working husband puts in 20 hour days and travels from coast to coast. I think I can at least make sure his baby is fed and the toilet is free of mold. And, I'll admit, cleaning the condo is much more, dare I say enjoyable, than our old place. Stuff actually gets clean when I'm done with it. I'm trying hard to stay on top of the cleaning around here so as to avoid an all out cleaning extravaganza that swallows up an entire weekend. I've been doing a few chores a day and making sure to pick up little messes before they turn into humongous ones. My mother-in-law (and Meggan too, I think) clean the whole house from top to bottom on one day, like Monday. I'm incapable of that. My cleaning attention span is too short for that. I must have cleaning ADD. I can only spend so many minutes scrubbing showers and windexing mirrors.
Now, having said all that, we do live cleanly. We are not dirty. In fact, I think the house cleaner I'm looking to hire would be really impressed.

just kidding. I'm not going to hire a house cleaner. I'm so sure.
I cannot handle doing all the cleaning in one day either, I have to do little bits here and there throughout the week.
I loved your shout out to LG. :)
I do mini-chores every day. It makes life easier. It's better to maintain than to waste an entire Saturday cleaning. No fun. I clean as I go, for the most part...
I can't do all in one day cleaning anymore now that I have a house and three kids. I try to do the bathrooms at once since I have the bucket of water made, but the rest just gets done when I can't handle it anymore!
