My brother is a pretty good golfer. He lives in Las Vegas, but he travels home to Redding quite often. Last weekend, he, a few friends, and Ryan played in Riverview's (Redding's country club) ProAm. Chris was the Pro and Ryan was one of the Ams. Ryan's a good golfer too. I think they had fun. It was hot.
I took Lilly out to watch them tee off and before I had even gotten past the pro shop, at least six people had told me I couldn't take Lilly out on the course.
Um...duh.
By the fourth warning, I started to get pissy. Golfers think they are so cool (except Devin--he IS cool). I'm not sure why the rules are so rigid. No talking, no moving, no babies on the course. Even in Redding--which is a far, far cry from Augusta. Anyway, I finally lost it with the woman who decided to tell me for the SEVENTH time that I couldn't take my baby on course.
"Yes, I know. I've been told several times. Thank you for your concern. I GET IT."
Those snobby golfers bugged me. Seriously.

Okay, random (especially since I am without child), but I REALLY like Lilly's seat cover. The paisley is so cute. You'll have to point me in the right direction when I'm in need of one. :)
And of course- Boo for snobs, period. Sounds frustrating (I would have done the same thing- but maybe sooner).
This post made me laugh only b/c I've thought of taking Avery to the US Open next year when it is at Torrey Pines. Guess I should rethink that.
Lilly is totally smiling for the camera.
Oh, we want to go to Torrey Pines too! We were just talking about it. Maybe we should stage a coup and see how many PGA officials it would take to boot us out.
Or how many snobby women it would take to kick us out?
Let's try it!
