Slippery.

Oh man. I forgot to post about the body treatment I had at the spa last weekend.

I sound like I visit the spa regularly, but I don't. Once every few months or so. When I was seven months pregnant, Ryan and I went in for facials and massages for my birthday. While I was there, they must have seen how gigantic and uncomfortable I was and felt sorry for me, so they gave me a coupon for half-off their signature service--The Honey Dip.

Yes. Honey. So much of it.

It was crazy, but so great at the same time. At times, it felt sort of like I was in a human car wash...like when the lovely woman who was giving me the treatment would pull her hose that hung from the ceiling over so she could rinse me off. Basically, you lie (I hate transative verbs...I still have to look them up and I'm an English teacher) down on your stomach on a table that vaguely resembles an embalming get-up. The room is tiled from floor to ceiling and their are drains in every corner. When I walked in, the heat lamps were on and the room was glowing. It was a bit creepy. Anyway, Ingrid (can you think of a more perfect name for a honey dip doer?) started by exfoliating my entire body with this scrub that smelled like peppermint. Yum. Then, she rinsed it all off. Next came the honey. She "dipped" me all over (rubbed it all over me), top and bottom. THEN, I was wrapped in hot towels and some sort of saran wrap or something. Then, she turned on the heat lamps and let me bake while she WASHED MY HAIR.

Oh. My.

I was in heaven. I'm hoping that we can get honey dips anytime we want in heaven. Let it be so.

After the hair and the honey, Ingrid rinsed me off again and finished up with a lotion rub down. I felt like a new person when it was all over. My skin was so soft. If you ever get the chance to indulge in a body treatment at a spa, do it.

I've been hanging out with Lilly a lot. Ryan's mom was here for a few days last week and my mom has been in and out in between business meetings and plane flights. It's been nice to have so much company and help with Lilly. We are heading down to Ryan's parents this weekend and staying through the 4th, so I'm sure to have lots of fun photos to post when we get back. Lilly is going to have her first studio pictures taken while we are down there, so I've got her outfit to stress about. What to wear? These pictures will be around forever and so it's very important I pick the right outfit.

Paris Hilton struggles. I watched her on Larry King the other night and I was so bugged by her inability to answer any of Larry's questions without using the word "definitely." Also, she said she's never done drugs before. Yeah, right. Good try Paris. And, when Larry asked her what her favorite bible passage was (apparently she read up while in jail) she hesitated and looked like a dumb ass when she said she didn't have a favorite. Um...she doesn't have a favorite because she didn't read any of it. I'm willing to bet she didn't.

It's 9pm on a Friday night and I'm going to bed. We are living the crazy life around here.

Ooh fun.

I had something like that done (without the honey- more herbal stuff) at Bliss a few months ago- saran wrap included. It was absolutely lovely. I think I'm due for another visit...
