Ryan says he hates Halloween...

I don't hate it. But, it's not my favorite. I am, however, trying to get into the spirit a little bit more since Lilly is pretty excited about it all.

We hit up Michael's a few weeks ago and got to work. I still have one more thing to make and some pumpkins from the pumpkin patch to add, but at least there are a few things up. I haven't taken a photo of the mantle--I'll do that soon. And our black glitter skeleton still needs a home. It's a work in progress, I guess.

I've been really tired the last few days. I'm not sure if it's my new medication or what. It could be that Lilly has been coming into my room two or three times a night this past week. I'm trying to put her back to bed, but if she protests, I just stick her in bed with me and then I don't sleep very well. So, it might be that. I'm going to see how it goes this week and then reassess.

Lilly is killing me with her Halloween costume options. It changes everyday. I'm trying to get her to narrow it down to at least two--then I have a back-up in case she throws a fit the night of. If you have asked her what she wants to be for Halloween in the last week, you might have gotten one of these:

Daphne from Scooby Doo (ugh. Sewing involved)
A cat (my preference--easy and cheap)
Cinderella (not an option--Santa is bringing that outfit)
Belle

I haven't narrowed down Caleb's costume yet. Ryan wants him to be a wizard. If Lilly is Daphne, then I want him to be Shaggy. But, who knows. Stressful, this Halloween costume stuff.

since scooby doo costumes are involved as contingency plans for both of them, better get the fabric and the machine out on the table.

Scooby Doo costumes will be adorable. I'm so burned out from our September I'm really lacking my usual Halloween energy. Charlotte is also super excited about the holiday. But she's going to be "Milk" from the PBK catalogue. I have a bizarre child. She is more than happy to wear it around the house any time of day. Princess? no. Milk... OF COURSE! Nothing against the milk costume but next year I am throwing out all Halloween-themed-costume magazines. I just need to remember to be on the lookout in July for them!

Whatever she ends up being (or you deciding) know she'll be darling! Glad you're getting into the celebrations for their sake. It's my least favorite holiday and I only half-hearted attempt to make it festive.

I'm sure the costumes will be cute. Glad you found some new sparkle shoes! Did you make the Halloween skirt? So cute.
