It's still hot here...

(Playing "Rock Star")

It was something like 92 degrees today.

But, it's supposed to start cooling off soon. Thank goodness. I don't mind the warm weather, but it makes it hard to start getting excited about Fall when you are sweating buckets and still dressing the kids in tank tops and shorts.

But.

The bit of Fall when it starts to get darker earlier? I could do without that. Tonight, I asked Ryan if 7:30 was too early to go to bed. I had just put the kids down and it occurred to me that I would like to be in my bed too. I'm not yet. But I will be soon.

We are officially out of the baby stage at our house. Lilly's new booster seat came and she gave Caleb the reigns to the Stokke chair. I had to make a few adjustments to it, but he's loving it. And, I'm loving the idea of having the highchair out of my kitchen! Wow--I can't believe I have a toddler and a preschooler. No more babies around here. Sad. Sort of. Sort of not. I don't know how I feel about it. I change my mind every other day. Sort of like how I change my mind about moving. Maybe we'll move one day, I don't know.

I spent $92 on night time diapers and cleaning supplies at Target yesterday. $92! I was in shock. I was so careful about only getting the things on my list. Diapers are killing me. Caleb has been soaking through his diapers at night and so I had to get a box of the "big guns." The good news is that Lilly isn't going through as many pull-ups as she used to. Still. Having to buy diapers is getting old.

Oh, and did I mention that my washing machine is dead again? Because it is. I just had someone here less than six months ago. And the stupid machine is only 4 years old. Less than that--more like 3 1/2 years old. Whirlpool can suck it. Seriously.

I'm tired. I've had three really good workouts in the last three days--that's my excuse for being so tired this week.

(He loves dress-up...this is what I found when I picked him up from the gym a few days ago)

I like when it gets dark early. Then I don't feel as guilty about going to bed early.

This is totally cheesy housewife stuff but you can save a lot on diapers at Target with coupons. Target takes both their own coupons (either from the mail or their website) along with manufacturer's coupons (I always find them at coupons.com) for a single item. Just this week I saved over $5 on one package of diapers. DOn't now if it is worth your time but thought I would mention it.
