Cleaning day and a day at the races...

Today was cleaning day. Have I mentioned that I hate it? Cleaning, I mean. But, I'm doing it.

And now my hands are dry.

We've been, as Lilly says, super busy the last week or so. We went to the horse races on Sunday! And it was exactly what you'd expect the horse races to be. Old men everywhere, older Asian women everywhere, cafeteria-like food, tv's showing races at other tracks, etc. It was awesome. One of Ryan's co-workers had their 2 year old daughter's party there--such a great idea. We (tried) to dress in our Derby best, but I haven't exactly stuffed our drawers full of seer sucker...we went with lots of black and white and some pastels. We tried.

We did bet. Although, we have no idea what/who we bet on. Betting on horses is a science--you have to study those horses and read all about what they've been up to lately. We didn't have time for that, so we let Lilly pick our horses. I think we walked out winning $3.

(That's I-80 and the Berkeley in the background.)

What a cute dress Lilly has on! Looks like it was a fun day, and that is a awesome idea for a birthday.

About the last picture...there is something missing...maybe...HORSES!

Haha. I actually didn't pick upon the horses missing, but now it is kind of funny that they aren't in it after reading Shan's comment.

Cleaning stinks (no pun intended). but it always feels nice after it is done? not much consolation when you are taking the bucket of soapy water up the stairs though.

Oh my gosh, could that Lilly get any cuter though? She looks like she was born to bet on horses there:)
