We have stairs in our house. I didn't grow up in a house with stairs and so they've always been a sort of novelty for me. Well, they were, until I had my own house and kids. And a lot of laundry. And a washer and dryer that are downstairs. See where I'm going with this?

I'm lazy. That's the gist of it.

Sometimes Lilly and I count the stairs as we go up them. I love the idea of numbering each step. Maybe one day. Although, I've banned stairs from all future homes. Ranch Style is where I'm heading--long and one level!

I exercised today for the first time in about a month. As soon as my heart rate started to pick up and the endorphins got going, I felt like a new person. It's amazing how much better I feel when I'm active. I'm going back tomorrow for more.

We went to the park yesterday for some much needed outside time. It was lovely. Lilly was befriended by a little girl named Sierra who liked to tell Lilly what to do. I had to steer Sierra towards better options a few times. Like when she told Lilly to get on her shoulders and they would go down the slide together. Um, no. I heard Lilly tell her no a few more times. It was funny to watch. Eventually, I had to ask Sierra where her mommy and daddy were. She said her daddy was over playing soccer. Daddy was in charge, I guess.

Caleb is crawling all over the place. He's doing laps around the living room and kitchen. It's amazing how much smaller he is now than Lilly was at his age. He still has no teeth, but my kids seem to get teeth later. His smile lights up a room and it doesn't take much to get one.

It feels like we are finally coming out of our month of sickness. Lilly is feeling good and we are in a groove with her meds. She still hates the pink Amoxicillin and has mastered the art of not swallowing it. I hope she's getting enough because I'm basically forcing as much as a can down her throat. It's fun.

I'm already using Santa as a bribe. Is it too early?

I got strep throat a bunch as a little kid. I personally always loved the pink amoxicillin. Tell L she should reconsider.

Kids like Sierra are annoying.
