I don't even see it...

The other day when I was dropping Lilly off at childcare at the gym, this little boy asked me if she got "hitted." He was referring to her little red birthmark on her forehead. I forget it's there sometimes, but I suppose it's pretty bright against her pale white skin. The doctors said it should fade by the time she's a year old, but if it doesn't there are ways to "make it fade." I think her hair will cover it, but what if it's not cool to have bangs AT ALL when she's a teenager and she hates me forever for not doing anything about her little red birthmark when I could have?

My mom knows all about this. Ask Christian about braces and Brianne about her toes.

The "mistakes" we make now will come back back to haunt us when our kids are teenagers.

I went through this with Avery's birthmark. I was glad that we opted to "minimize" the redness of hers. Rarely does someone ask me about it now and in time the rest of it will fade.

I actually didn't even really notice it either. She's too smiley and kissable to be distracted by it.

Worst case scenario (but I'm sure it will fade, and her hair will cover it, even without bangs)- MAC makes a great concealer. :)
