Well, Thanksgiving is over. We had a very nice holiday here at my parents condo on the river. Brianne's attempt at Grandma's jell-o was so-so. My mom actually did the whipped topping and it didn't turn out too well. Good thing Ryan stayed up all night Wednesday making pies!
That's right--I picked him up from SFO at 2:00pm on Saturday and after assessing the traffic issues going back in the direction of Sacramento, we opted to get a hotel room and wait it out. We watched movies, ate good food, and I heard all about Ryan's trip. It was a great afternooon. We headed back up I-80 around 10pm and it was smooth sailing. I went to bed when we got home, but not Ryan. After 30 hours of traveling, he proceeded to start his laundry and begin baking. I woke up at 4:30am to use the bathroom and he was baking away while listening to NPR. I got up again at 7:00am and he was still baking, but watching tivoed epiosodes of Survivor at the same time. He never slept. We left for my parents house about an hour later. We had turkey, drove down to see my brother's new property of the river (what's up wtih my family's infactuation with the river?), and then came home for a very heated game of Monopoly-which I won.
Still, no sleep for Ryan.
He finally crashed Thanksgiving night around 11pm and didn't wake-up until 12:30pm the next day. He needed it.
This post is really boring. Sorry.
So, now I'm sitting here waiting for my mom and my sister, Brianne, so we can go out and see what's happening at the mall. The mall in Redding struggles. S-T-R-U-G-G-L-E-S. But, I do like the Ross here, so we'll check that out too. Ryan, Chris, and my dad went golfing.
I'm not taking a shower today. I took one yesterday. I hate showers on the weekends.
Our baby is moving like crazy--have I already mentioned that? Ryan has yet to feel it because everytime I put his hand on my stomach, she stops. She's teasing hiim. Awesome. He's getting really frustrated and says he isn't going to try anymore.
We had tacos for lunch yesterday. Taco Shop is our favorite place to eat when we come home. I'm pretty much over leftovers. I had a few little turkey sandwhiches, but that's it. I'm ok with no more turkey till Christmas.
More later...and photos.....!!!

Jenny and Ryan, it was really fun to see you both. Jen I really think you look fabulous for being 5 1/2 months prego..Ryan, I am officially apologizing for the lecture you got from my grandmother... please excuse her, she is 84, but very opinionated as well, I hope you understand!
Jen if you post a pic, please do not get a profile of my nose!
Stacy
Great post Jen. I'm glad to hear what you guys are up to. I have to say that every time Joses tried to feel the girls move, they would stop too. He hardly ever felt Bree move, Eden a little more, and Dylan all the time. Every single time Joses put his hand on my stomach with him, he was wiggling away. Probably a precursor for what's to come.
Anyway, Ryan and Joses are freaks of nature for their lack of sleep. I don't know how they do it.
Ryan must be on something. It's proof he deserved the lecture Stacy's grandma gave him.
I'm kidding of course. I'm glad we got a chance to meet Ryan. It was fun talking but I'm pretty sure each and every topic we were on got interrupted some where along the way. I hope to see you both very soon and get more of your time. Much love.
funny how the comments section takes on a life of its own here. it's like a new post.
frankly, i probably deserved a few words from your grandma, Stacy. She was very diplomatic about it, in a way that said "i'll hand you this wine, but only because i'm in on the joke."
still, it was a nice party and you're very lucky to have your family. believe me on this one. the fact that you all can get in the same room--parents, grandparents, uncles, aunts, friends, siblings--and still love each other; i think that's rare.
and nadia, it was fun hanging out. we need to do more of it so i can hear more about how popular jen was in high school. i swear to god, she's always talking about how popular you guys were in high school.
right now, in high school, she's not the most popular. but she's giving tests and assigning essays. bummer for the sophomores.
jen, keep the blogging going. you're watching tivo'd oprah episodes, but don't forget to blog.
ry
I'm not always saying how popular we were in high school--I'm so sure. Don't tell fibs Ry.
High school was the best ever. I really had so much fun. I must say, I was a bit popular too. Probably not as popular as Jen, though. Jen, I think you and I may have hung out in high school, although you probably would have been better dressed than me. You always wear cute clothes.
