The Jetta is missing a hubcap. It happened some time last week when Ryan was driving. I think cars look pretty messed up when only one hubcap is missing, don't you? I always think about the moment when the hubcap actually breaks free from the car and goes rolling like crazy somewhere--maybe to the side of the road where it will rest forever, or maybe on a little journey down the freeway until it finally comes to a rest. I'm sure it's scarry for the hubcap--rolling into the unknown.
Everytime I see a lonely hubcap on the side of the road, I wonder if it's ours. Sometimes people are cool and set them upright so if you happen to be driving by, or if you've gone back to retrace your miles to look for a lost hubcap, you'll be able to spot yours easier because it is on display for you. Those people have good intentions, but I'm wondering what the actual statistics are on missing hubcaps that have been recovered by their original owners.
Low, I bet. Low.
