Critters...and Caleb...

(He sees an airplane..)

Well, I've got the shower door/drain fly issue 99% resolved. I found maybe the greatest shower door man EVER. His name is Julio and if you need anything done with your shower doors (any kind of door, actually), he is your guy. I wish he could be my handyman, but he lives too far away and really only does doors. Still, he's awesome.

So, that problem is taken care of.

Just in time to find the mouse droppings, the hole/nibbling at the drywall, and maggots in my garage. Something is going on out there and I'm NOT dealing with it. The pest man is. I don't care how much they charge me. I'm so completely over it.

I want to bathe in bleach and power wash my entire house with hot water and even more bleach.

I feel bad mentioning Caleb in this post...he's the total opposite of maggots. He's the perfect child, really. He had his 18 month check-up this morning and I'm happy to report he has made the charts! Not that the charts really matter, but still. He's 13% for weight and 26% for height. He's totally catching up. He still sleeps 12-13 hours every night and takes a great afternoon nap. I love him. He's starting to say more words, and he follows direction really well. It's funny to me that he can't talk to me, but he can do what I ask him to do. Crazy.

He loves to give kisses and he loves to play with Lilly. They are in an interesting stage. She likes to play rough with him sometimes, but he doesn't do well when she smothers him. He knows how to hit and he'll pull her hair. Uh-oh. He's pretty much on the defensive all day long...poor guy.

He loves oatmeal, pears, grapes, pirate booty, fruit snacks, and anything that I might be eating. Last night, he ate some of my mom's Panda Express chicken. Lilly was never interested in what other people were eating, so this is new to me. He's a little bit of a food moocher--it's funny.

He loves his blue blanket and his binkies when he's in his crib. I usually have to go in and check on him in the morning and after naps because he loves to snuggle his blanket when he gets up and will do it forever.

He loves trucks, motorcycles, airplanes, trains--anything that makes noise, really. He LOVES balls. And Mickey too. And he loves books. He'll sit and look through them and follow me around with them until I sit down and then he plants himself in my lap and waits for me to start reading. It's awesome.

And yesterday, Lilly asked if Caleb could put on the Tinkerbell dress-up. We got busy doing something else, but I suspect we will be revisiting that request.

I love having a little boy.

Oh man sorry about the pests.
We need a shower door guy, for our rental house. I'm going to hit you up now.
Caleb is so sweet. Lilly is so sweet. You are a great Mom, Jen!

He sounds a lot like my little Max at that age. Balls, reading, food curiosity. I wish I could meet him. He looks like the perfect child in that photo

He really does seem like the most content, laid back baby boy. All these little boys makes me want one someday too.

I can never get over how striking his tan skin, blue eyes and blonde hair is either. Such a cute guy.

(Sorry about the mice! Yikes Jen...glad you found some exterminators and crossing my fingers they are all gone soon)

He is so darn cute. I wish we could get Lilly and Caled and Georgia and Graham together more. I have a feeling they would have fun together.
