Still getting beat up like a rag doll around here. I'm trying to stay focused, keep moving, and just make it through the day. I was up until 2am last night--couldn't sleep. And then Lilly woke up at 4:30am in full blown tantrum mode. What?!!? She screamed, cried, and thrashed for an hour.
It was so awesome.
They both woke up crying at 7:30am. I dropped some eye drops in my eyes, popped a few Excedrin, and got to it.
Caleb is sleeping now. But not before he cried it out for 20 minutes.
Lilly is having quiet time/watching Aladdin. I'm not going to fight with her today...she can crash whenever/wherever she wants.
I love them. So, so much. I really do.
We will get through this.
In other news...
Have I mentioned that m youngest sister got engaged? She did. So both of my sisters are getting married in the next few months. We are looking forward to the weddings. Lilly has stated that she wants to wear a pink dress to the weddings. Pink isn't the color she is being requested to wear, so we'll have to work on that.
I need to update my make-up bag. Maybe I'll work on that this weekend. A little trip to Sephora might just make me feel better after the last few weeks of minor torture.
And my new favorite thing? I don't usually buy clothes (for me) at Target. I haven't really been that impressed in the past. But. They do have the best tank top EVER. I wear them for everything--sleeping, working out, over my swim suit. They have just the right amount of stretch and don't fade or lose their shape. I usually stick to black and grey, but they come in tons of colors. I LOVE them. And they are only $9. Sometimes, they go on sale and you can find them for $7.
I'm off to read the Rolling Stone article on Jay-Z. Love him.

I trip to Sephora always cheers me up. I went there just this weekend actually and it was lovely.
What gives with the trantrums/lack of sleep? Hopefully we won't experience this at the beach.
Totally have and love those tanks.
Shannon, gear up for the tantrums. They will happen at the beach. You will experience them. You will feel the pain and watch the entire ordeal, as we do, as if watching an act of nature, like thunderstorms, tornadoes, hurricanes, earthquakes, carnage, weather systems colliding.
There's nothing to do but watch it unfold.
If you've ever seen the old black&white film about helen keller, you'll know what I'm talking about.
Biblical. Like legion cast into the pigs.
the double crying before 8:00 really makes for a sigh and gear up. you are right there. I've had those days too.
