Magical Moments...

I've mentioned a billion times how "my people" are scattered all over the world, and it's not everyday that I get to surround myself with people who I like. This sounds harsh, but if you think about it for a second, you'll agree that it's true for you too. Right?

Anyway.

Diane is one of my "persons." I have serious backyard envy whenever I'm at her house...but that is another story. Well, no, I guess it's not. Her backyard is a magical place and so magical moments are easily created. And, Diane plans and carries out beautiful birthday parties for her girls. And then friend Raymond comes in with his bad ass camera skills (with a 24-70 lens...I have got to get one of those!) and takes some magical photos. I'm just posting the ones of my family, but there were many, many amazing moments captured by him that evening.

And a shout out to Facebook. I've been on the fence for months now, but after these photos were able to be shared with me, and since it's the only way to quickly connect with my lovely bf Kelly and her new twins, I'm a believer. A total Facebook fan. It's instant gratification--which is one of my absolute favorite things.

Oh my gosh, these photos. J, they're AMAZING. You need to frame every single one, seriously.

I'm happy with facebook, too. Most of the time. Although I go through & "clean out" my friend list every so often, because sometimes I think it's lame to be "friends" with people who I wasn't even friends with in high school. It's just spying sometimes, right? But easy photos, etc? I'm a fan.

And a huge fan of the 24-70mm, too. Big & heavy, but so wonderful.

You are so sweet, Jen. What a nice post to see on my birthday. The backyard, and all the other mysterious things about our house are what sold me on it. It was truly a diamond in the rough when we bought it and we've been slowly fixing it up and re-creating the magic. It takes great people though to make the backyard feel magical! You are part of that!
I want to have a big roaring 20s party when the house turns 100 (soon) with costumes and everything!
I'm going to upload all the pics to my picasa account to share with you. There are even more great ones of you and your family! Thanks for being our special people!

Ok, that family shot of the four of you is the best yet. That is the one you need to get blown up and framed.
