NPR makes me feel happy...

I love Fresh Air. If you don't listen to it, you are really missing out. Terry Gross interviewed Tom Ford and it was such an entertaining hour! I love Tom Ford. Love him. Listen to the interview, you'll be glad you did.

Lilly is back from a fun-filled weekend at Nana's. We are glad to have her back, but our weekend was...um...delightful. Cal is such a good baby--he just goes with the flow and this weekend, the flow included lots of meals out (something we can't do with Lilly in tow), errands, and early bedtimes. It was fabulous. Cal is asleep every night by 6:30, and so once he was down, we had the whole night ahead of us! It was crazy. We had a sitter come over Sunday afternoon so we could go see Invictus. I loved it, Ryan fell asleep. I might have shed a tear or two at the end of the film. Later that night, after Ryan and Cal were asleep, I went to the mall and then went to see New Moon.

And here's the thing.

I really liked it. So much so that I might go back and read the books. I read Twilight, but that's where I stopped. I'm thinking I'll revisit them.

Nap time is so over.

I'm still loving your bangs, J. Does that mean they're here to stay?

Mike saw Invictus (without me!!) last weekend. Loved it, too. I want to see it.

I really didn't love New Moon. Maybe because I have such a hard time with awkwardness & tension. And that's basically the entire movie. And Jacob's bare chest was shown just a few too many times. But I read all the books & will see all of the movies. Obviously. :)

So my thoughts... New Moon the movie was a lot better than New Moon the book. I pretty much hated New Moon the book yet really enjoyed this movie. Which is the opposite of what one would expect. Let me know what you think.

It's funny to read others comments and see all the extreme differences in opinion. Jared and I saw Invictus this weekend and we both loved it! (I shed one or two tears as well.) I thought it was great and I want to read more about Nelson Mandella.
As far as New Moon goes, I thought the movie was really good (better than Twilight) and New Moon was actually my favorite book of the 4. I fell in love with Jacob and was really torn between the two by the end of the book. (Bella still bugs...).

Read the rest of the books starting with the 3rd one because New Moon did suck pretty hard. The rest just get more fun and make you want to see the movie. Will you be in RDG for the holiday season. I have 2 weeks off and am trying to be a pseudo stay at home mom during those 2 weeks. I have craft crap planned and long moments in which I will look into my children's eyes and blah, blah, blah. Any way are you going to be around? Nadia

This picture is like the quintessential photo. I really like it.

I still need to see New Moon. I liked the books! Twilight was an ok movie, so maybe I'll like New Moon too.

And I love love NPR too. It's my dose of smartness during the day.
