Baby it's cold outside...

Ryan's cousin and his family were in town this weekend. We had a fabulous time...more on that later.

We went to cheer on the runners yesterday morning down at the Capitol. The California International Marathon is always the first weekend in December and it's always freezing and/or raining. No rain this year, but man was it cold. It was still fun to get out and support the runners though. Our friends Holly and Jeremy both qualified for Boston--hip, hip, hooray for them!

Watching running races always makes me wish I were a runner. For a like a second. I don't know, maybe I'll do another race one day. I had fun with Missy when we did the Nike Women's Half a few years back. Too bad that race has turned into a hot mess and it takes an act of you know who to get in.

Still. I'd like to maybe do a 10k this spring.

How awesome that your husband is all bundled up on top and then is wearing shorts.

The LV Marathon was this weekend too and it was freezing here. For LV standards at least.

I wanted to run that. Someday, I will.

Should we try to get into that Nike half for 2010?? That would be really fun.

What is Lilly's green coat? Ave would go bonkers for it - she loves everything green.

It really is so painfully cold here that it's a wonder to me why we don't just pick up and move to Chicago. It's like living there now anyway. I live in California for a reason.

How do we get Missy to teach us how to make bean-bags? Don't we have a sewing machine? I want to make bean-bags. That sounds oddly fun, bean-bags. Throwing them around and letting Cal chew on them.

Bean Bags:
2 pieces of cute fabric desired size of bean bag.

2 cups of dried beans

Put fabric right sides together. Sew around all four sides leaving a two inch opening on one side. Turn right side out. Add beans. Hand sew opening.

Done. I'll make you some, ryan!!
