I've got to take the camera out more...

(Caleb is so happy he can hardly stand it)

I'm just horrible about taking the camera along with us on our weekend outings. It sometimes feels like I'm lugging another kid around.

"Who has the camera?"

"Do you have the camera?"

"Is the camera buckled in?"

You get the idea. And, when it's the grocery store and the gym that make up our weekend outings, taking the camera along doesn't seem all that pertinent.

But. Caleb is crawling now and since he's just about the cutest thing I've ever laid eyes on, I need to make sure that I have hundreds of photos to refer back to when he is inevitably driving me insane in a few years.

For now though, I'm obsessed with him and he's making it really, really hard for Ryan and I to come to some sort of conclusion on the the finality of our family.

After a rather hectic week, he had a lovely weekend. I had to take Lilly off of her daily asthma medicine, Pulmicort. It was making her crazy. Really. She was NOT herself. She was moody and dramatic and really, really unpredictable. I started to wonder what was going on and so I looked up the side effects of Pulmicort, and wouldn't you know it, they all described Lilly. It was scary. Her doctor and I are playing phone tag, but I'm determined to get this thing figured out.

Anyway, we had a bit of an emotionally traumatic week. But then Ryan came home and made us pancakes for breakfast, let us sleep in, made us dinner, and everything was better.

I really love commas. I do. I loved teaching commas to my high schoolers. Grammar lessons were the worst (for everyone involved), but I always loved it when we got to the end of the grammar book and it was time to discuss punctuation. I also love ellipses. And dashes--they are maybe my very favorite.

Have you ever read Eats, Shoots, and Leaves? It's clever, and reminds me of your love for punctuation.

oh man, he is so cute. i want to see him crawl too!

grammar was always so terribly boring, but you make me want to bring out my Strunk and White book just to go over it again. I think I like semi-colons, but not sure if I ever use them correctly.
