I hate car issues. They give me anxiety. And now that I have a child kickin' it in the backseat, I can't really "go with it." I can't take the bus home when the battery dies or just get out and start walking...deal with it later.
Fortunately for us, we have a great dealer who takes really great care of us.
It looks like my Christmas gift this year will be a new battery, new tires and a new fuse for my cig lighter/car charger.
But at least we'll be safe.
ps...I wrote this because I have indeed been having car issues. My battery died at the car wash last week and every time I turn the key in the ignition, it barely starts. I also need new tires and when I went to Costco (got there before they opened on Saturday to be efficient) to get them, they didn't have them. Costco can't get them. So, I wasted a trip to Costco on a Saturday morning and my efficient plan backfired on me. Turns out I have high profile? tires on my car and not only are they hard to find, but they cost a fortune.
German engineering is a tad bit pricey.

If I had a car, I'd want to have your car. I'm into wagons, for some reason. I really like them. Or maybe I'd get the Audi wagon. Or the Volvo wagon. But I've really always liked the VW wagon, and as a former Jetta driver, I bet I'd be happy with it.
This is what I dream about. Cars, and my very own washer & dryer in my apartment. Sad.
Merry Christmas then!
Oh man. Car issues. It's like you feel like you're throwing money down the drain, even though technically you need it. But, really, who wants to think of spending their money on something that really should just work and never have issues?
