I can NOT get enough salt these days. I want it all the time. Chips and salsa, gross ramen noodles, Chinese food, anything that has enormous amounts of sodium is where I'm headed. This only happens when I'm pregnant. Sugar goes on the back burner and salt takes center stage. Too bad it's horrible for my high blood pressure and my slight symptoms of preeclapsia and gestational diabetes. I'd probably be a picture perfect pregnant person if I could control my salt intake. Probably.
I'm trying to drink a lot of water to offset all the salt, but I'm also craving ginger ale--something I NEVER buy or drink--so my water drinking efforts have been thwarted by the ale.
I can't go into Trader Joe's because I can't stand the smell (a common complaint by pregnant women all over the country, btw), but they carry my favorite salsa of all time and when it's gone, I'm in trouble. I guess I'll have to ask Ryan to pick some up for me. Salsa Authentica--that's the one.
I'm doomed.

Okay, so Missy said that she had the same problem, right? The Trader Joe's thing? Has someone studied this? Why is it? I didn't even notice that is HAD a smell.
Salt? That seems random to me. I hear a lot of people crave chips and salsa while prego, though.
It's the worst isn't it? Being pregnant? Glad you're hanging in there.
I LOVED chips and salsa in my first trimester. And I totally hated Trader Joes. Have you heard this from other people? I'm glad I'm not the only one...
I hate the smell of Trader Joes too! Same same. I wonder what that means...da da DAAA! (J/K I just wanted to fit in like the rest of you. No cravings for V-8? I think one regular can has 860mg of sodium. YIKES
