I blame Ryan. He's the one who succumbed to societal pressure and ordered the first season on dvd a few weeks ago. He's the one.I wasn't all that sucked in until we hit season 3. In fact, I only saw bits and pieces of season 2--enough to keep me up to speed. I'm now well into season 3 and I'm completely invested. I hate being held hostage by a tv show, but it's not so bad when you can watch episode after episode without having to endure 1) the commercials and 2) the devastatingly long days between new episodes. I've said it before, but let me say it again...Whoever made the deal that allowed tv networks to release their shows on dvd should be knighted. Or bronzed. Or kissed.
I like Sawyer. And I love Jack. I love him so much. I love that he can't deny his compassionate self--he MUST help people. I also like Juliet. And Sun and Jin. I'm totally predictable, I know.
Ryan recently discovered a magical tool. His Xbox, which I have a tumultuous relationship with, has recently become my new favorite thing in our house. We learned that it has its own "marketplace" where you can purchase tv show and movies--much like the "On Demand" feature that is available through cable. Xbox is way cooler. You can get a ton of network shows--even from the current season. As a result, I've watched 12 hours of Lost in the last 24 hours. Sad, I know. Don't worry, I'm making sure my child is fed and clothed.
I should be reading a book.

Maybe if I watched it on DVD it would be better - I just can't stand waiting so long between episodes. I remember when the first season of 24 came out on DVD - Ryan and I watched the WHOLE season over one weekend. You can't stop!!
That's how Mike and I got into Lost. We were completely worthless for like 3 weeks, catching up on the first 2 seasons right before season 3 started... All we did was work, eat (while watching the TV) and watch Lost.
Ugh. I HATE Juliet.
