We had a very pleasant weekend. Ryan took Lilly duty while I went out for some alone time. I spent the entire day doing...nothing in particular. It was fabulous. I came home to discover that Ryan had caved and rented the entire 1st season of Lost. We've been fighting all the drama that surrounds the t.v. drama, but I guess our time has come. We watched six episodes on Sunday. Geez. I'm not going to comment on it yet because I'm not totally sure if I'm vested yet.
Lilly's two top teeth are working their way in and so she's been a joy to be around lately. I love infant Motrin--it's a lifesaver.
She still refuses to eat "real" food. She prefers goldfish and nilla wafers. In fact, she managed to rummage through the diaper bag to find the little baggie of snacks I keep for emergencies (trips to Target) and when I discovered her, she was knawing on a couple of nilla wafers. She can sniff them out from a mile away. This was after I had attempted to feed her nice balanced dinner of everything from squash to strawberries. She wouldn't have any of it. Only nilla wafers and gold fish. I did buy the whole grain gold fish and the reduced fat nilla wafers, but still.
This is my latest project--I'm making new pillowcases for the couch throw pillows. I picked out these fabrics. I like how I feel when I'm in the fabric store. There's something about it--I can't really explain it.

Jen, do you have any idea what good news this is? If you can sew throw pillows, we'll never have to buy the super expensive, one of a kind ones. Can you PLEASE post a photo when you are done and if I buy fabric, can I send it up to you to make some for me?
Do you remember how to thread the sewing machine...which is mine, by the way.
I do know how to thread the sewing machine, yes. But, I might bring it home so we can do this project together!
Can't wait to see the finished pillows- cute fabrics. Oh and Lost, I am obsessed. It is crazy. I hope you end up liking it.
Cute fabric. Someday I hope to be a fraction of the craftiness that you have. Probably will never happen. Be sure to post the finished project!
As far as Lost goes, I was totally into it for the first few seasons but I got bored because there was so much going on with NO ANSWERS. And then with the long break I just haven't watched. Maybe once the whole series comes out on DVD I will watch it. We'll see.
