I can't sleep...

I really want to sleep...but I can't. Here I am, with a kid who is finally sleeping through the night (well, the last three nights at least) and I can't, for the life of me, fall asleep. I've tried everything: a bowl of cereal, a hot shower, a Tylenol pm...I even tried switching it up by trying the guest bed out. No go. I'm doomed to a life of sleep deprivation, I know it.

Ryan is...where is he again? Oh yeah, he's in San Francisco. Or LA. I can't remember now. Maybe the drugs are starting to work. Let's hope.

Have I mentioned that Ryan and I are flying to Minneapolis on Saturday? As in Minnesota. As in the high there today was 17 degrees. That's better than last week. Last week they were in the negatives and I was seriously contemplating whether this trip was worth it. But, I think it will be. As long as the temperatures continue to hover to around the 25 degree mark like weather.com says they are supposed to.

Why Minneapolis you ask? Because I have the coolest husband, that's why. Extended explanation: I fell in love with an actor (from afar) while I was studying in London a few years ago and I couldn't (wouldn't?) shut up about him for months after returning home. Like any crush, I got over him. But, I've never forgotten him. Mark Rylance left his post as the Artistic Director of the Globe Theatre in London and for whatever reason, he has decided to do a play at the Guthrie Theatre in Minneapolis this winter/spring. Ryan found out he was going to be performing in the states and got us tickets.

We'll be bundling up for a flight (sans Lilly), a play, and an overnight stay in one of our nation's coldest cities so I can swoon over my Shakespearean theatre crush. I can't wait.
