I've been tinkering around with my blog design lately, after my husband voiced his disgust with my last design choice. I didn't change it for him, but I'm glad he approves of my new look. I always go back to basic white. It feels clean and neat.
I'm bugged though at the fact that my blog looks a little different depending on which browser I'm using. For instance, my header is perfectly centered in Explorer, but when I go to my Mac and use Safari, it's flush left. I don't get it. And, I'm too tired to really care. It is what it is.
It's been a very quiet couple of days around here. Ryan and I went out with some friends Saturday night and so my parents came down to stay the night with Lilly. We had delightfully lazy Sunday and then everyone was gone again and it was just Lilly and I. We are surviving. The weather has been so great and so we've been going on walks and enjoying the sunshine. Lilly discovered her shadow today, which was funny. I doubt she knew it was her shadow, but it was fun to watch her try to figure it out.
I've been kickin' a** in the domestic department lately. I cleaned ALL my baseboards, and made a batch of cookies last night! And last week, I made dinner TWICE! My dishwasher is empty, all the bills are paid, every last stitch of laundry has been done, and we have groceries in the fridge (I'll have you know that I was pushing my cart through the grocery store at 8am yesterday morning, thank you very much). I'm amazing.
On a not-so-clean note, Lilly is discovering finger foods and someone help me, they are are a messy disaster. Soggy bits of what was once a Cheerio or a fruit puff stick themselves to not only my daughter's entire body, but my carpet, her exersaucer, the coffee table, the kitchen table and chairs and...this is no joke...my cat's chin. Yes, I found a fruit puff stuck to jp's chin.
I know my kid has to eat, but must it be so messy. I'll admit, the mess makes me think twice about feeding her sometimes--it's such a production. I know, I know, get over it you say. I'm just saying, it's messy.

I think your blog looks really good. I like lots of white space. And the header is flush left for me too, but I think it looks artsy.
I like the blog. I also like the white (it's my color of choice on blogs). Nice & crisp, with lost of room for options...
Will you please come & clean MY baseboards? That's also on my list of things I hate to do. Hence, I never do it. Oops.
Way to be domestic. I too count the number of meals I cook in a week. Way to be.
Did you take that photo of the LOVE in Cheerios?
It's centered for me and I like it too. Your blog does look clean this way and I like the photos of you guys on left and then Lilly on right.
Did you get a high chair?
Finger foods are the worst! I am so sick of putting stuff for Dylan on his tray and the next second watching him throw it overboard because it doesn't look familiar. I think it gets better at around age 3! Yuck.
