Uh...BINGO!

A nice little story...

My brother and sister live in Las Vegas. My mom, who is a motivational speaker for administrative assistants, travels to Vegas a lot and has been there all this week. My aunt Cathy, who lives in Dover, Delaware, came out to Vegas to hang out with my mom this week.

Last night, they went to Red Rock to play BINGO.

Brianne, my sister, has quite the BINGO story and out of the four of them, she's the expert. So, following her lead, they got all their cards and blotters situated and paid for and sat down for a little fun. Lisa (my mom), Cathy, and Christian had never played BINGO in this format before (casino style) and were apparently struggling. The BINGO ball-caller-outer doesn't mess around and so you have to go fast and pay attention. They had no idea what they were doing.

The first game of the night is a progressive game that is played with ALL of the Station Casinos in Vegas. That's like half of the strip. The payout is big since so many people are playing.

My aunt Cathy got a BINGO on the first game. She, who has never played casino BINGO before and was skeptical about playing at all. They were so unsure of what they were doing, they didn't even know she had got a BINGO. Some lady down the way from them had to tell them to yell it out.

She won $10,000.

Lucky duck.
