Take your wife and daughter to work day...
Lilly and I drove down to the city to visit Ryan at work. It rained most of the way, but miraculously, it wasn't raining in downtown San Francisco. It was a quick trip--we wanted to visit some of Ry's co-workers who haven't had a chance to meet Lilly, and we wanted to hang out with Ryan for a few hours since he won't be back in Sacramento until Thursday.
I forgot my camera.
I stopped at The North Face outlet in Berkeley on the way down. It seemed appropriate, what with all the rain. It made me want to buy gear. I don't need gear, but it seemed like something someone should do when they are A) Caught in the rain, and B) Surrounded by some seriously serious outdoorsy stuff. And I mean serious.
If I weren't already puffy, I'd get one of these (see below). I've always wanted one. But, I don't need anymore padding right now, so I'll be sticking to my good 'ole fleece, thank you very much.

Oh I need to check out those outlets sometime. And I also want a puffy vest like that. Since I am just getting bigger- why not add to it?
I just bought a cool North Face puffy vest. It is white, with brown trim. My new favorite. I bought another coat (this is all in SF, by the way) that is more tailored/slimming. My brother "advised" me that it is BEST to have "flattering" coats (i.e. cut for a woman's shape), but that "puffy" coats are exempt- because they are in and of themselves, PUFFY. I'm not tiny. But I still got one (and love it).
