Enough already...

(maybe my new blog background--haven't decided and couldn't find another picture to post)

I got tired of seeing Garth's face every time I logged on to my blog, so here I am. However, I can't blog about the amazing week I had until A) Ryan comes home with my camera, or B) Kelly emails me a picture or two.

For our anniversary last month, Ryan surprised me with the greatest gift. He had arranged for my dearest friend, Kelly, to come from Canada and spend a week with me. We lived together in Provo way back when and became instant friends. Fast forward a decade, add a couple of husbands, kids, and pounds, and poof! we are together again. With the exception of a very brief (as in a few hours) a couple of years ago, we haven't been together in about 12 years. BUT...because we are each other's kind of people, we've kept in touch via email and the occasional phone call. Each time we talked it was as if we had been together all along. Those are the best kind of friends, I think. I call them low maintenance friends.

Anyway...I have lots to say about our week together, but not without pictures.

Ryan is traveling this week, so it's been me and Lilly hanging out here. We've done an enormous amount of laundry in the last two days, spent some time assessing the fall t.v. line-up, gone on a few walks, scrubbed the grout on the kitchen counters, worked on solid foods, and watched a few episodes of Dora, just to name a few of our activities.

Lilly isn't too fond of peaches, pears, applesauce, or squash. However, she does seem to like bananas and vanilla yogurt. We'll keep trying with the aforementioned flavors, but based on the contorted faces I've been getting, I'm not too hopeful.
