Home again, home again, jiggity jog.
We were in Orange County last week visiting Ryan's family and so I haven't been blogging much. And, when it's just Lilly and I at home during the week, I don't really have much to say. However, her naps are getting much more predictable and much longer, so perhaps it will be easier to sit down and let my blogger friends in on the exciting times we have around here.
We are headed to Delaware this Friday. That's exciting. Super exciting. I'm feeling like the whale in The Whale Rider--what did they call that whale? I can't remember, but I know I'm feeling like him...all sick and lethargic. And chubby. Can't leave that one out. I'm going to the gym though so whatever. I caught Ryan's cold a few days ago and now Lilly has it. She seems to be doing ok. I called the doctor ( only my 2nd time, btw--I think that's pretty good for a first-time parent) and they told me to get a humidifier, suggested saline drops, and told me she didn't need medication.
So, get a humidifier we did. After Ryan researched the best one (you'll have to ask him if you are ever in the market for a humidifier) and then we went to Target to find that they only carry Vicks brand humidifiers. Apparently, Vicks brand wasn't one of the machines Ryan wanted (according to his research). He was pissed. Now he's all down on Target, saying they only cater to "the man" and then he mumbled something about how Target had sold their Target soul to big companies. Politics. It always comes back to that for us.
We are obsessed with the movie A Prairie Home Companion right now. It was on HBO (our other obsession) a few nights ago and so we tivo'd it. We've been watching it here and there ever since. Funny stuff. I highly recommend it, but it's not for everyone. I'll just say that.
I'm trying to figure out how to download this video I took with my phone of Lilly in the bath tub. She's making quite a raucous and it's awesome. But, I'm technologically challenged and so I'm having a really hard time figuring it out. I KNOW it's possible to get it on this here blog...it might just take me a few months to figure it out.
