A myriad of boxes...and Grover too...

Without Ryan, this move wouldn't have happened. First of all, I was finding it hard to get motivated to pack, and coupling that with taking care of Lilly, made for pretty slow progress on the packing front. Secondly, I can tend to be a bit lazy. However, Ryan stepped up and got us going (as usual). With my mom and Suzanne's help, Ryan got us out of the apartment-forever!!!!

My mom cleaned the old place--she deserves a medal for that alone.

Me, I'm not sure what I did. I packed a few boxes, fed Lilly here and there, but overall, I'd say I was no help at all. And I'm really sorry about it. I'm embarrassed that my mom did more work than I did. I really am. Thanks Mom, you're the best. Ryan too!!

Anyway, we are here. And it's lovely. I'm so happy and I don't care that there are messes and boxes to unpack in almost every room. The kitchen is completely done (thanks to my mom--again) and so is Lilly's room (mom). Our furniture was delivered after a huge debacle that I won't go into here and we have cable and wireless! We are set.

I need to get the camera back from Ryan, but as soon as I do, I'll post all kinds of pictures all up here in this blog. Promise.

Lilly had her first round of shots this morning. She (and I) did very well. She only cried a little bit and now she's sleeping. She didn't sleep much yesterday, so she'll probably be out most of today. I went to Safeway on the way home and as she was snoozing away with her mouth wide open, five or six people stopped to tell me how pretty she was. She is pretty. I'm so lucky to have such a good baby.

I watched a little bit of Sesame Street for the first time in years yesterday. It made me laugh out loud. Grover was trying to convince some penguins to use their flippers to fly to Capistrano (not sure how toddlers would get this reference, but ok), but the penguins had to explain to Grover that they were unable to fly. Grover wasn't getting it. At one point in the sketch, Grover whispered in the penguins' ears, "Just think Capistrano." It was so funny. I can't wait until Lilly watches Sesame Street--we'll watch it together and I'm sure I'll enjoy just as much, if not more.

I'm reading The History of Love. Juice said it was excellent. Of course, it takes me a little longer to get through a book these days, but I'm determined to keep reading.

Anywho...I must get back to unpacking...

Hurray you are in your new place! That is very exciting.

I read History of Love last year. I liked it. I think Lindsey told me about it.
