Well, it's May 9th already. Where has the last month gone?
I feel like I need to give my blog a serious makeover, but until I install Photoshop on my Mac, there's not much I can do but change a few colors. In other blog news, I'm sad that so many of my blogging friends are thinking about giving it up. I'll be the first one to admit that posting everyday can be a hassle--and the reason I don't do it. BUT, at least post a few pictures once in a while--that can't be too much to ask. Can it?
Lilly is sleeping now. She's getting so big. She has a mild case of baby acne, which really freaked me out at first, but after the doctor reassured me it's very common, I calmed down. She looks a little beat up, especially when she's hot or worked up, but she's still cute. The pediatrician said it should clear up over the next few weeks. I guess I'll put off her first studio pictures for a few more weeks and see what happens.
I'm still chubby. I can't believe what a toll this baby making project has taken on my body. I've been obsessing over my body since I was pegging my jeans back in the 80's and so I'm pretty familiar with what it looks like. There are all kinds of new marks and characteristics that have appeared as a result of Lilly and I'm going to have to get to know them, and I suppose, learn to love them. I'm anxious to get back to the gym, but I'm having a hard time finding the energy to get over there once Ryan gets home at the end of the day. I'll keep trying to find that energy.
A few of my favorite things right now...
1. Hooter Hider
2. Pillsbury Hot Rolls Mix (makes baking homemade tasting rolls a snap!)
3. Raspberry Lemonade Crystal Light
4. Gymboree (I think they make my favorite baby clothes--I'm still deciding)
5. My new sunglasses
6. Dr. Pepper
7. Mustela baby products
8. Tangled and True (Um...I know very cool people)
9. This dress
And LILLY, of course!

I like the white background. Very refreshing for spring.
That baby acne is junk. I don't like it. The girls didn't get it at all, but Dylan had a mild case and I felt bad for him.
Where do you get that roll mix? Is it frozen?
And Jen, for the love of sunglasses, why did you not contact Joses? He could have got you some for free, or at the very least, cheap. It's alright, though, because your new ones are super cute and very classy. Just so you.
I've been going to the gym at night and it's pretty rough getting motivated to go because I'm so dang tired. (Yes, I have a 9 month old baby that does not sleep through the night.) Anyway, I tell myself that I'll just go walk on the treadmill or do a class and the next thing I know, I'm way into it and doing all sorts of machines.
Post some closer up pics of Lilly. I just want to see how her face is changing.
I am glad you are not on the "I am giving up my blog" bandwagon. You are the first blogger I ever knew and even once a week posts are great I think.
Lilly looks very mushy.
I like your blog makeover Jen. The white is refreshing and it took me a second when I first clicked on it to register that I was indeed reading Isn't That Pleasant.
I love your "Favorites" list because you always have such good taste and things that if you like it, I'm sure to love it as well.
I'm dying to see a close up of Lilly too. She looks so cute in that picture fast asleep in her jungle swing.
PS: The reason I originally wanted to comment was to say that I think you look GREAT {and I last saw you just five weeks after having Lilly, or was it three?}. Anyway, you did look so, so, so good.
Love your sunglasses and the dress is adorable. Lilly is so cute and I want to see more pictures of her! Crystal light Raspberry Lemonade is fantastic...love it. I always wonder how so much flavor comes out of such a little amount of mix...
