Productivity = lots of trips to the trash...

We had a very productive weekend. Well, I feel like I got a lot done, I'm not sure if Ryan would agree. I think he might say that all he's really seeing is me moving one pile of stuff to another place in the apartment, where it is still a pile of stuff. I see it differently--I see things getting organized and put away, albeit slowly.

We took the stroller out of the storage closet where it's been for the last six months and Ryan proceeded to put it together. He's not a fan of putting stuff together, so he was getting a little heated during the stroller task. After the stroller, we moved on to the infant seat. Whoa, what an adventure that was. We had a lovely afternoon in the backseat of our car trying to figure out how to secure the base of the car seat. Fun time. I think we finally figured it out, although I might swing by the local CHP office...just to make sure.

We moved one of our bookcases into the baby's room so I'd have somewhere to put all the children's books I've been collecting, and I washed all of the baby clothes that needed to be washed. The only thing I have left to do is hang shelves. Oh, and have this baby.

Ryan told me tonight that he would really like it if I could have her sometime this week--he's just not sure he's in the mood to work. He needs a vacation in a bad way and as funny as it might sound, our baby's arrival WILL BE a sort of vacation for him. He lives a crazy life, so hanging out with me and our newborn at home for a few days is something he's really looking forward to.

I'm still not sleeping. My internal clock is all jacked up. I'm up all night--sometimes I fall asleep at 3am, sometimes not until 6 or 7am, and then I sleep until noon. I've had to make sure I schedule any and all appointments I have after 2pm--there is no way I'll make it anywhere in the morning hours.

I'm going into the final planning stages this week and taking care of all things related to ME. I'm getting a pedicure, I'm getting my hair done, and I'm making one last trip to Target to make sure I have everything I need for the next 3 weeks--whatever that is.

My doctor's appointment is on Wednesday. I'm puffy, tired, irritable, and gigantic, so I'm really hoping that I've made some progress.

I really am gigantic. I was glancing at my belly photos from earlier in the pregnancy and CANNOT believe I thought I was huge then. No. I'm huge now. All the weight I didn't gain in my first trimester is making its appearance now. I gained 7 pounds in two weeks (according to my last Dr's visit) and I can't seem to stop eating. I had little or no appetite for 8 months and it decides to show up now--in my last month. This whole pregnancy thing is too strange for me.

I think I have to stop taking so many baths. My skin is starting to dry out and that's with a couple of rub-downs of Cetaphil cream a day! But, baths are the only way I can shave my legs. It's impossible otherwise.

3am.

I would suggest you keep it up with the baths, because I bet you will want your legs shaved when you give birth...

It was fun to read about your london times...ah, nostalgia. And everyone's lives are so different now, but it is great that we will always have those memories.

I can't believe how productive you are! I imagine when I am bursting at the seams I will just sit on the coach and watch Opera all day and put all my will-power into wishing the baby will come ASAP. You are an example for us all :)

Oh, I get in plenty of couch time--trust me. There's not much else to do BUT sit on the couch from midnight to 6am.

you need to post a picture for those of us who want to see how huge you are.
