Dr. Graham called me at 4:30 this afternoon and told me he was scheduling me for a c-section. Actually, he first asked me if I wanted a c-section or dystocia (difficult or impossible labor). It wasn't much of a choice.
I'm going in for a scheduled c-section on Monday at 11:30am.
I'll admit, I threw a bit of a tantrum after I got off the phone with him. This isn't how I imagined it ending. It's odd to know exactly when your baby is coming--and it's not what any of the books, or websites, or doctors prep you for. I've spent the last nine months reading about labor and everything that goes along with that...I've read nothing about c-sections. Good thing I have the weekend to prepare.
Hopefully, Lilly will be healthy and chubby. She better be chubby after all of this drama.

Monday! Wow. That is exciting, but no doubt shocking for you to hear she will arrive by c-section. You're right. It is weird to know the exact date of a baby's birth. Thanks for the update.
Crazy that this is your last weekend before becoming a mother! So exciting.
I'm SO excited that she is coming though! That's so, so exciting. Yea! I'm hoping she's chubby too.
I think an ultrasound revealing a 10.5 pound baby girl is quite telling that your offspring will be a chubby one.
Hooray! I'm sorry it hasn't gone as planned. Having one thing in your mind and then reverting to the next plan of action is definitely reason to throw a tantrum. I would've too.
I hope she's chubby too. Big babies are the best! (And if she is, be REALLY grateful you're getting a c-section!) Good luck. I can't wait to see pictures of her.
Jen,
Samuel came by c-section. It was an emergency not planned. I don't have a lot to offer about the pre- surgery stuff but I can fill you in on the post-surgery stuff. To spare your loyal following maybe you would like to give me a call. Good luck on Monday if I don't hear from you.
Wow that is exciting to know the date. How will you spend your last weekend before becoming a mother?
So Jen,
You say 11:30 and Ryan is saying 1:30. Who do we believe?
