2:05 in the am...

Ah...the joys of pregnancy. I'm up! It's 2:00am and I'm wide awake. I asked my Dr. last week if there was anything I could take for my insomnia and she just shook her head and said, "Sorry, didn't anyone tell you pregnant women don't sleep?"

Um, no. No one told me this. I've decided that there is a reason women fail to disclose certain aspects of pregnancy and child birth--if we knew what was ahead, no one would ever get pregnant. Right? Maybe I'm wrong. Either way, I'm not asleep.

I haven't blogged all week. Nothing to say. I'm grumpy most of the time I'm awake and I'm sure I'm grumpy when I'm fitfully sleeping too. G-R-U-M-P-Y.

Why did Britney Spears shave her head? Why? What is wrong with her? Something is definitely wrong.

I should be working on our taxes, but that seems like too serious of a thing to be doing at 2:15am. I can't watch TV because there is nothing on, and I can't read because I have restless leg syndrome and when I sit still for too long, I go beserk. Instead, I'm unloading the dishwasher, doing squats, and considering starting a load of laundry. Ryan is snoring peacefully in our cozy bed (we got a new down comforter which has turned out to be AMAZING) AND he's doing it on his stomach--two things that make me insanely jealous to witness--peaceful sleep and stomach sleeping.

I got a bunch of lilies from some of Ryan's clients the other day and it occured to me for the first time that our daughter will most likely live a life full of lilies. People (boys) will give them to her and think they are being so clever. I'm glad they smell good--the flowers, I mean. It could have been bad--we could have chosen a foul smelling flower name.

I have a friend named Lillie and she loves getting lily flowers. It's her thing, makes her unique. I'm sure your baby will love them too.

I saw the pics of Britney. Crazy girl! I feel so bad for her. What would you do if you were her? Her little boys - I wonder who is taking care of them all the time.
