Bummer I didn't have my camera. It's a very pretty place.
Jen's family has a house on the golf course in Morro Bay and it has amazing views of the ocean. We had a great time hanging out, watching football, and snacking. Lon and Jen introduced us to the infamous Cowboy Cookie in San Luis Obispo--and let's just say we'll be going back there! The sugar cookies were my favorite. We basically ate our way around San Luis because we also made a stop at the local bread store where we picked up a few loaves of homemade bread--yum.
The only lame part of the weekend was the cold weather. California may be the sunshine state, but right now it's also the colder-than-it-should-be state. This morning on our drive home, our car said it was 17 degrees in some places. Lame.
We are in a sort of mourning period. I guess we are mourning our last few weeks with just the two of us. Not that we aren't excited to have a baby, but we realize that it won't be the same--things will be a little more hectic. We know we can still do the fun things we like to do--we just won't be able to do them without a bit of planning first. It's funny, every now and then we'll be somewhere or doing something and one of us will say, "This is the last time we'll EVER be able to do this." I'm usually the one saying it, since I'm the one who is freaking out about the life change, but nevertheless...
Ryan's working in the city tomorrow and I'm...I'm...I don't know what I'm doing. Perhaps I'll prepare for my final THREE days of school!!!!!!!!! I'm actually over preparing anything. Honestly, I don't care if all 76 of them sit and stare at me for 90 minutes on Tuesday and Wednesday. No, I care. So, I'll give them something fun to do--like review for their finals on Thursday! They'll love that. Since I only teach 3rd and 4th periods and both of those finals are on Thursday, I don't have classes on Friday. Once I turn my grades in, I'm done.
Let me go see what I can scan...

Wow I can't believe you will be done with your certification so soon. Good luck with the next few weeks of pregnancy and "freedom."
Before Dylan was born, I was in a bit of a mourning period too because I knew there'd be diapers to pack and strollers to lug around again. We were at a point Wwth the girls where we were so free. Everyone was potty trained (sort of), everyone ate real food, everybody could walk, everybody could talk. Enjoy it while you can for sure because things will definitely become quite hectic.
If you ever need a break from your baby, send her down here to me. LIke if you're going on vacation or something and her grandma Olsen can't watch her, please let me be the babysitter! I would absolutely love it.
