Christian, my brother, has recently purchased a home on a large lot on the Sacramento River. The property is located in Redding, which is funny because I never thought any of us would actually end up there to live. Chris likes it up there though and with the market being so soft right now, he went for it.
The property is really beautiful. The house...not so much. He plans to demo it and start over. We went over to check it all out over Thanksgiving and the project looks exhausting. They've already done so much--taken out trees and such--stuff you have to do when you own that much land that has gone uninhibited for a few years. I'm the most excited about the riding lawnmower he has to get. I told him I'd volunteer to mow the lawn when the weather gets a little better.
Anyway, it's a big project, but I have confidence my brother will pull it off and it will be an amazing place for our family to gather.
