I'm inflatable

(Breakfast with Kristi and Dallas at our neighborhood truck stop)
I woke up Monday morning feeling like I had lost 20 lbs overnight. This was a great thing since I've spent the last two weeks feeling like I had just gained 20 lbs. Basically, I'm feeling a little more like myself and with the exception of my missing appetite, I'm in a good place. I'm on the hunt for that appetite of mine and I'm determined to find it soon.

Yesterday was also my first day of school meetings. Summer is officially over.

Sigh.

I'm ok with it, I think. after meeting with my mentor teachers, I feel a little more prepared and ready for next week when the kids come a knocking. I still have no idea what I'm going to wear the first day of school, but that's trifles. I'll figure it out. I'm more worried about what I'm going to do for 90 minutes everyday with 38 awkward bodies staring back at me. 38 times two. I have two classes, so that's more like 180 minutes of fun-filled English I get to look forward to planning everyday for the next 130 or so days.

Enough about school for now...there'll be plenty of that to come in the weeks ahead.

Ryan and I are slowing getting back into our daily routines. I haven't seen him since Monday, but I know he's been here. We pass in the early morning hours. He's stealing a nap just as I'm getting up for the day. That guy's ability to stay up all hours hurts my head.

Anywho...

I'm off to talk to a guy about a syllabus. More later...
