I've been watching the news for days now. I keep thinking I've seen all of the new footage, and then CNN shows something new. It's unbelievable what the people of the gulf coast have gone through, and are continuing to go through. It makes a bad day around here seem petty in comparison. They have nothing--hundreds of thousands of people have nothing.
Ryan and I contributed what we could, but it seems so small. If you can contribute anything, here's a link...
We went in to San Francisco yesterday to hang out with Ryan's grandparents before they boarded a humongous cruise ship. Hanging out with grandparents is funny--and really exhausting. We didn't do much, but by the time we got home, we were pooped.
I took a million pictures and then came home and played around on my 30 day trial of Photoshop. You see, Photoshop is the big leagues and before I try to convince my hard working husband that I need Photoshop, I better know how to use the thing. At least pretend like I know what I'm doing. So, when we were in Borders the other night, I perused the tech mags and found one that is entirely devoted to Photoshop. An entire magazine all about it, who knew? I found out that if you are looking to buy, you can try first. It's exactly what I needed--a test drive.
Photoshop is not messing around. It's complicated. But, it's fun and I'm learning all kinds of crazy stuff. I've learned that anyone can fake being a genius photographer as long as you have this program.
Loving the 30 day trial.

My roommate is a graphic art/design major. She has Photoshop, and I'm not talking about the "Home Edition" either. Her's is the real deal, experts only version and its insane. She let me mess around with it and some random pictures we took at our friends wedding. By the end of the night, I had digitally made myself into the the beautiful bride and changed the location from some inn up the canyon to a sunset beach location. Pretty awesome. Anyways, good luck with that.
P.s. your pictures are pretty cool.
