Oh- and maybe not the best place to comment, but I LOVED East of Eden. It's a long book, and kind of exhausting when you're done, but I really, really liked it. Be patient with it, if you're having a hard time. By the time I finished it, I felt as if I had lived another person's entire life.
This is the kind of things that I could (will) play with for hours. Fun.
