Technology dropout...

As part of the first semester in the credential program, they make you take a technology assessment--a tool to find out how much you know about computers and different programs. I didn't do so hot. I know what some of you are thinking...how can I fail a technology assessment and still maintain this blog? Hmmm, easy. This blog is stupid proof. It's all done for me--a kind of fill in the blanks thing.

Technology assessment...not done for me. I had to do it myself. Word, Excel, and Powerpoint! I passed the Word portion. Whew. And, I sort of passed the Powerpoint portion. Sort of. But, I failed miserably at Excel. I didn't even show up. Now, I have to spend the next four Wednesdays learning how to use Excel. I guess it could be worse.

Teachers should know Excel. I should know Excel. And soon, I will.

The thing about Excel is that it is distantly related to math and I really don't mix well with anything from the math family. Formulas and such--I'm not into them.

    Jen,

I spent most of my grad school experience studying Excel. Let me know if I can help.
